Year 7 Shadow Puppetry Project for English Literature

This week, all Year 7 students combined their knowledge of English literature and the visual arts in an exciting interdisciplinary project. These interdisciplinary experiences are a key part of the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and challenge students to combine knowledge skills from different subjects to produce one outcome. In this project, the students were asked to select an excerpt from a verse in the novel ‘Inside Out & Back Again’ by Thanhha Lai and interpret it in a narrated shadow puppet performance. The students showed tremendous creatively, organisation and understanding in the production of these insightful pieces.
