KGV Chinese Poetry Festival 詩歌節

A huge success to KGV’s first Chinese Poetry Festival. This festival is the grand finale to our Chinese Poetry Plus Project over the last school year to the beginning of this year showcasing students’ hard work over the past months while appreciating the culture and beauty of Chinese poetry.

This includes our main exhibition highlight where Y12 students showcased their installation work with support from famous local designer Dylan Kwok, Virtual Reality with Chinese poetry by Y10 students as well as written poems and Chinese paintings by Y10 and Y11 students. To entertain the guests, different groups of students performed Chinese dance, poetry recitation and a refreshing music performance.

These cross disciplinary workshops (Chinese poetry with humanity, technology, design and music) allow students to learn Chinese Poetry from different perspectives. This was the school’s first collaborative project with Quality Education Fund (QEF) aiming to promote innovative teaching and learning in Chinese poetry with other disciplines.
