Term 2 CAS Activity Program
It’s been an incredibly busy and fun packed term 2 for CAS Activities. The CAS program has seen a larger number and greater diversity of CAS activities, not seen before at KGV. This has included:
Under our new activities term blocking format, Term 2 activities will come to an end by Friday 29th March. A few sports, performing arts and a select few other activities will continue, due to the pressures of their season, performance dates and external factors.
In preparation for Term 3 (due to start week beginning the 29th April), students can start to browse the opportunities on offer by viewing the activity list on the Lionel summary page. Some activities from term 1+2 will continue in to term 3, with spaces available, as well as a selection of new activities (see summary here)
NEW Term 3 activities will be open for sign up on Monday 1st April at 8.15am. Students normally have tutor-time at this time, so all students will have equal access and equal opportunity to log on and choose. In the meantime, I encourage you to browse the opportunities with your child and plan out their program for term 3.
Please remember: Students are not allowed to participate in their chosen activity unless they are signed up and have parental approval. The activity register for each session will only populate photos for the students that have been approved for the activity. Therefore, please check your email inbox and lookout for the ‘activity approval’ emails.
Finally, I would like to thank parents for your support with allowing students to take part in the CAS program. I would also welcome any feedback or suggestions you have to both improve the CAS Program by identifying particular activities that you would like to see offered at KGV.
