Remarkable achievement : Benjamin Chan(Class of 2017)

Our remarkable Alumnus Benjamin Chan is the youngest person in Hong Kong to conquer Mount Everest, Earth’s highest mountain.

He came back home to KGV yesterday to share his experience with Ms Belinda Greer, ESF’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mark Blackshaw and students.

He has already conquered three out of the Explorers Grand Slam, but he doesn’t plan on stopping there. He hopes to become the youngest person to complete the Explorer’s Grand Slam and reach the highest mountain summit of every continent – seven in total. He was inspired by Marin Minamiya – who holds the record as the youngest person to complete the feat – and is also from Hong Kong.
