Medicine Club leaders speak on healthcare app innovation at TEDx STC

On the 2 April, three KGV students (Jennifer Ding, Gabriella Chan, Eileen Wong) spoke at the TEDx STC event, advocating for refugees healthcare availability in Hong Kong. As the leaders of Medicine Club, these students went on to found the multilingual, non-profit app MedSearch. MedSearch is an app that not only provides healthcare information, but also first aid tips, and transportation routes for the nearest specialist clinics in Urdu, Swahili, English and French. Their hope is that this app will improve the familiarity and efficiency of seeking healthcare in Hong Kong for all asylum seekers and refugees. This event was truly remarkable, as the three KGV students were able to express their innovative ideas and solutions based on the theme of “epiphany”.
