The presentation covered:

• Sugar 101
• Different forms of sugar
• How much sugar do teenagers really consume & where do they get it from most?
• Effects of consuming excessive sugar
• Is sugar addictive?
• How to be savvy in consuming sugar

The workshop was in a powerpoint presentation with an interactive activity –  students came out and helped to measure the amount of sugar that was present in products so they can visually see how much sugar is actually present.

The purpose of this workshop is to motivate our students to take action and change behaviour should they be consuming sugar excessively.
