Year 10 and Year 12 Learning Reviews

Year 12 parent evening is 16 May. Year 10 parent evening is 22 May. Details below.

The Year 10 parent evening is scheduled for Wednesday 22 May from 3:45pm onwards. Bookings will open to parents at 8pm on Monday 13 of May.

The Year 12 parent evening is scheduled for Thursday 16 May from 3:45pm onwards. Parents may log in to Lionel using their parent accounts and make appointments with their child’s teachers. The Careers & Higher Education Department will be offering a talk on Applying to University. Talks will start at 16:30 and 17:30, with opportunities for Q&A after each presentation. Parents can also drop into the Careers Office during the evening if they have any HE-related questions.

Year 12 Parents are also invited to a Coffee Afternoon at KGV in the Careers Office on Monday 3 June from 14:15 to 15:30. This is an ideal opportunity to find out further information relating to the University Application process. Parents will have the opportunity to sign up before the event, we will forward an invitation nearer the time.

During both parent evenings a movie will be screened exploring anxiety in students. It is just under 1 hour long and will be shown in the LRC next to Leos at 4:30pm and repeated at 6pm. The film is called “Angst” and was shown to many students at KGV last year. It may stimulate discussions with your child about any pressure and anxiety they may be feeling as they progress through school. Both parents and students are invited to attend, and there will be a member of the school counselling team available at the end of the showing to answer questions and facilitate discussion

If you are unable to attend either evening or the teacher you wish to see is booked up, please email them directly using the email links on your child’s dashboard page in Lionel.
