Our best result for at least 10 Years!

KGV Girls Athletics team finished 6th Overall in Division 1 at the HKSSF Championships.  This is the best result we have had for at least 10 years. At one of the most prestigious sporting events for Hong Kong Schools we are one of two ESF Schools in the 1st Division.

All athletes competing contribute points to an overall score.  They compete to achieve a standard point and also additional points for making finals, along with double points for relays.   At division 1 the standard is outstanding with several National age group and record holders competing. We are extremely proud of the whole team and could not have done this without everyone’s contribution.  KGV outstanding and dedicated athletes that achieved finals and achieved a top 8 position are;

C GRADE

Kaka Wong 4th High Jump (1.41m)

Scarlet Casey 6th 800m (2:35.97)

Molly Worthington 11th Q-Final 800m (2:38.98)

5th 4x400m Relay (4:35.79) Danielle Leung, Molly Worthington, Emily Fisher,Scarlett Casey.

B GRADE

Chloe Chan 7th Shot Put (8.75m)

Charlotte Hall  3rd 1500m  (5:02.44) and  2nd 800m (2:24.69)

Kirsten Lai 5th 1500m  (5:11.99) and  4th 800m (2:27.14)

Elena Lee 5th High Jump (1.40m)

Brielle Fernandez  4th 200m (26.50)  and 5th 100m (13.08)

Kara Casey 5th 1500m (5:30.97) and 6th 800m (2:32.11)

Brielle Fernandez (Year 11) recently participated in the HKAAA S2 competition and represented KGV.  She came a very credible 3rd in the Women’s Open Final with a personal best time of 26.07  We are very proud of her achievements this year and thank her for her contribution and her continued commitment and dedication to sprinting.
