Message from the Principal

You are invited!

In June this year we launched an exciting new initiative, our KGV Alliance. The KGV Alliance is a community partnership, powered by student ideas to create positive change. The ‘KGV Alliance’ is designed to strengthen and deepen the connection between our school and the community we serve. This initiative provides our students with opportunities to connect with parents, community, alumni and businesses in new and productive ways.

I would like to invite all our parents to our next KGV Alliance III where we plan to showcase our student business and social entrepreneurial thinking in collaboration with the Nissan Motor Corporation. The Infiniti Lab has invited 35 of our Year 12 Business and Economics students to an ‘entrepreneurial boot camp’ with the aim to enable our students to develop and showcase ideas to create positive change around Hong Kong as a ‘Smart City’ concept. This incredible learning opportunity will culminate in a ‘Pitch Night’ as our KGV Alliance event at Infiniti lab at California Tower, Central Hong Kong on Thursday 13 December at 6.30pm.

Please join us at the Infiniti Lab to hear from our young entrepreneurs and innovators, and to learn more about Hong Kong ‘startup’ culture. The only cost to attend is your time, ideas and positivity! Please confirm your attendance through the link here.

Attending these events helps us create new partnerships and enables us to grow the concept that learning occurs in the classroom and in our community. Our fundamental task as a school and as parents, is to prepare our young people for the future. We believe that one way to do this is to provide rich, challenging and connected learning experiences that are embedded in the fabric of community. These events also reinforce our ‘be your own remarkable’ purpose and our vision to create a ‘school for one’.

If you attend our KGV Alliance Pitch Night, we are confident that you will leave inspired and enthused by the power of our student ideas around our ‘Smart City’ theme. You will also be getting a chance to look into the future, as on show will be our future leaders, as they share and pitch their ideas and dreams to create a ‘smarter city’ and lead positive change.

Kind regards
