KGV Student awarded gold prize in the Junior Mathematics Olympiad

Congratulations to Adrian Wu for securing his place in Gold Prize again this year in Junior Mathematics Olympiad 2019.

“In June, I was one of the top few scorers in the UKMT Junior Mathematical Challenge (test held in KGV) out of over 300,000 participants and was invited to participate in the next round, the Junior Mathematical Olympiad. I was grateful for taking this opportunity to join in and tried my best to secure my place this year. Finally I achieved it. I am looking forward to taking up the challenge in the Intermediate Mathematical Challenging 2020! I would like to say thanks to the Maths department for giving me plenty of opportunities to take part in competitions internationally which trained my mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems” ~ Adrian Wu U05M Y9
