KGV Principal’s Welcome 2017/18

My name is Mark Blackshaw and I have been appointed as the incoming Principal of King George V, commencing duties in August this year. My wife and children are looking forward to settling in to life in Hong Kong.  I am currently the Executive Principal of Helensvale State High School in Queensland, Australia. Helensvale High is a large and dynamic school of over 2500 students and 250 staff. I have held this role for the past five years and have been a teacher and educational leader for the past 27 years. I am very excited by the opportunity to contribute to the growth and traditions of King George V. For me, being a school Principal is all about the students and how together, we can make King George V an even better school for the students and community we serve.
