KGV Literature Festival 2017

Our special guest for this year’s KGV Literature Festival is Valerie Bloom. On Wednesday, she spent a day with our KGV students teaching and performing her poetry. That afternoon, Dr Otto Heim, associate professor of the School of English from HKU joined us and had a conversation with Valerie and looked at some parody poems written by the Year 10s students. It was a day full of rhythm and rhymes!

Yesterday we continued to explore poetry. At lunch time, our English teacher Mr Marcus Turver read out some of his very best poems written based on his personal experience to our students and teachers.

This year’s Literature Festival has been great! We would like to thank our Learning Resources Centre for organizing it.
