Winter Fair
Throughout human history, people have come together to celebrate, communicate and connect. It serves to mark special times in the year and break up the normal rhythm of life. At KGV, we are planning to reignite our School Fair as a point of celebration and connection for our community. The School fair will serve to:
- Be a celebration of learning in our school
- Build connections with parents and alumni
- Create and sustain relations with the broader community
- Showcase student talent and leadership
So on Saturday 7th December 2019 from 4pm to 7.30pm, we are excited to announce we are holding our ‘Winter Fair’ at KGV. The event will be centred on a concert under the stars which will showcase our school musical groups (Jazz Band, Choirs, Orchestra, Soloists, Staff performances and huge choir involving all year 7 students).
A major theme at the Winter Fair is to ‘celebrate giving and unity in our community’ with a specific focus on our ‘Helper’ community and their contribution to the lives of our students and families. We are encouraging our students to seek permission to bring along their ‘Helper’, buy them dinner at one of our many planned food stalls and then encourage them to enjoy the show.
Entry is free, and there will be a range of food, merchandise and activity stalls both run by local businesses and our students. Please put the School Fair down in your diary for Saturday 7th December 2019 from 4pm to 7.30pm.
