South China Showcase Basketball Tournament, Shenzhen China

On Friday June 7th the KGV C Grade Boys Basketball Team departed Hong Kong for the South China Showcase Basketball Tournament in Shenzhen, China. KGV entered two teams into the U14 Division (KGV A and KGV B) playing 5 games each over 5 days of competition. Both teams performed extremely well at the tournament. The B Team finished in 5th place winning 2 games and losing 3. They were competitive in all their games and lost by less than 7 points in all their losses. The A Team went undefeated (average point differential of +31.2) in the competition winning the Championship by defeating ESF Tigers in the final 58-39. Kayan Malkani was named MVP of the U14 Division. Congratulations to the all the boys on such a successful tournament and to the parents for their incredible support.
