Message from the Principal

What a year at KGV!

It certainly has been a privilege and honour to complete my first two year as Principal of KGV School. Every day I am grateful  for this opportunity and the chance to contribute to this great school and community. I would like to thank the KGV School community for their support and trust, as we work together to make KGV an even better school for our students.

Across the year I have got to know more and more of our teaching staff, and I am even more impressed with their level of professionalism and commitment to our students. The learning outcomes our students achieve is a reflection of the quality of teaching at KGV, and the excellent student-teacher relationships our community fosters. Our support staff work very hard to keep the school running and support our students in meaningful ways. Their work is vital and we appreciate their contribution to our school and the impact they have on learning.

Thank you also to all our parents and guardians. Your impact on student learning is powerful. Parenting is one of the most rewarding and challenging ‘jobs’ you can undertake and your unrelenting support for ‘your child, our student’ and your active involvement in our school is very much valued and appreciated.

Our students are truly remarkable; they are well-behaved, respectful, community minded, hardworking and talented. It is such a pleasure to come to school every day and interact with our students as they go about their daily business to be the best they can be.

KGV is a great school with a rich and proud history. We are working hard to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement at our school, as we strive to deliver on our ‘Be your own remarkable…’ purpose, and our ‘School for One’ vision.

We wish all our students, parents, staff and community partners a wonderful summer break and we look forward to welcoming all our students back on Thursday 15th August.

Kind regards
