KGV Champion Powerlifter

April 20th, 2019 marked the day of the 62nd annual Amateur Powerlifting Competition hosted by the Hong Kong Powerlifting Federation (HKPF). I was entered into the 66-74kg weight class for the U18 age group, as well as the open age group. The competition consisted of three separate lifts: the squat, bench press and deadlift, each with three attempts to obtain the heaviest lift-load. I ended up placing 1st overall for my age group, and second overall for the open age group with the same 74kg weight class. – Theo Ivarsson
