An invitation for our parents to ‘ROAR’ again!

家校一心铸狮魂

百年精心育杰人

Our goal is to make KGV an even better school for the students and community that we serve. We believe that parent collaboration is a great way to create better solutions to issues that matter. After our successful ROAR 1, 2 and 3 events last academic year, we are holding our ROAR 4 event on Saturday 15 September from 9.00am to 11.00am in the Learning Resource Centre at KGV School.

ROAR stands for ‘Reach Out, Appreciate, Respond’ in terms of:

  • Reach Out – to our parent community to build connections and seek ideas
  • Appreciate – and celebrate what great things are already happening and how together, we can add value
  • Respond – to the ideas we generate with action and outcomes

This upcoming ROAR event will dig deeper into a current issue identified previously by our parents. The focus of this ROAR meeting will be “how can we improve school communication so it is concise, timely, relevant and engaging? We will discuss and brainstorm ideas about our newsletter, Facebook, emails, KGV School website and other communication modes.

To do this we will be using our Learner Centred Design (LCD) protocol that we use across KGV School to brainstorm ideas and solutions.
