BTEC Performing Arts Students perform Sparkleshark

The BTEC Performing Arts students have been working throughout this academic year to ensure that students have extra opportunities to continue their passion for Drama outside of the curriculum. As part of their Theatre in Education unit, the BTEC Performing Arts students successfully ran an after-school Drama club during Term 1 which ran alongside the regular teacher-led club and was open to all Middle School Students.

The after-school Drama workshops were a great success and as a result, the BTEC Performing Arts student’s were given the opportunity to stage a version of ‘Sparkleshark’ by Philip Ridley which was performed over two evenings last week. The performances were extremely well attended and received.

The hard work, dedication and creativity on show by the individuals involved is a testament to the quality of the aspiring creative individuals that we have enrolled on the BTEC Performing Arts course here at KGV.
