29 Nov 2020

Dear Parents,

KGV will proceed with our current face to face (lesson 1 to 4) and online (lesson 5) learning arrangements on Monday 30 November and Tuesday 1 December this week. Below is a message communicated to all ESF parents this evening by our CEO Belinda Greer, regarding the upcoming suspension of classes from December 2nd. We look forward to seeing our students at school tomorrow.

As you may be aware, the Hong Kong Government is taking preventive measures to stem the growth of COVID-19 cases across the community.

In a press conference this afternoon, it was stated that the Education Bureau will soon announce suspension of all classes for Primary and Secondary Schools starting on Wednesday, December 2nd until after Christmas.

This means that the last day of students physically at school will be Tuesday 1 December 2020. Online learning will resume immediately for all students from Wednesday 2 December 2020 up to and including the last day of Term One (Friday 11 December 2020).

Like you, we are disappointed that we have to close our school grounds and transition to online learning again. However, hopefully the break over Christmas will enable the situation to improve and that we will be able to welcome all of our students back to the school campus early in 2021.

As soon as we receive any updates, we will let you know.

Belinda Greer

Chief Executive Officer

Kind Regards,

Mark Blackshaw
