Looking for second-hand book donations

The Beyond the Book team, who presented at KGV Alliance 4, are starting a book drive which aims to reduce poverty and environmental waste. One of the objectives is to help provide second hand books that kids can use from several charities and local schools in Hong Kong. The books that will be collected will go to charities such as The Salvation Army, Crossroads HK, Kids4Kids.

In support of our local impoverished communities, we need your help! If you have any unwanted books lying around your home, please donate them in the ‘Beyond the Book’ box at the foyer. The book should be in fairly good condition, meaning that books with broken spines, missing pages or covers, illegible texts and dirt will not be accepted. The book should contain English or Chinese material, and should not contain inappropriate content (violence, profanity, nudity, or drug use). We are also not looking to donate the following types of books:

• Textbook
• Newspaper
• Magazines
• Activity Books
• Comics
