Welcome to the Himalayan Awakening!
The Himalayan Awakening 2011 Challenge Week trip is a Spring Blossom style service based adventure trip to work in a variety of educational institutions and to visit some of the most majestic mountain scenery the world has to offer. Our students have a high level of commitment and responsibility in our preparation of the activities programmes, which are demanding of both time and effort. However, all this effort is put to good use to benefit the children in the poor mountainous areas of Nepal.

However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the flight schedule has been changed by the airline, Nepal Airlines, and the plane will instead leave Kathmandu at 12:05 PM (Nepal Time) / 02:20 PM (Hong Kong Time), and arrive at Hong Kong at 06:50 PM (Hong Kong Time).
Kindly adjust your transportation arrangements for your child to match these new times.
Update on Distribution of Funds and Resources
From our journals, you may know of Puja, the sherda that had climbed Everest. There is also another sherda, named Maya, who also accomplished the rare feat of being a women to climb Everest. After hearing their stories, we were nothing but impressed with their achievements. After learning of their background, we felt nothing but the desire to help the villages that these women came from, especially in the case of Maya, who's village's prevelance of child trafficking echoed the cause of "Stop the Traffick!", a charity event that KGV participates in.
Hence, we as a group have decided to divert some of the funds, supplies and medical resources to try to alleviate the harsh conditions of these villages that are both need and deserve our support.
