Religious Studies at KGV
As a large, non selective entry secondary school in Hong Kong, KGV provides an International education and examination system for Hong Kong's International Community. The school caters for over 40 different nationalities and has a distinct multi cultural feel and atmosphere.
Religious Studies is an essential part in any international education system. In order to understand the world in which we live we must have an understanding of the main force that drives much of the world's population. As such, each religion is given equal waiting at KS3. At GCSE level students look at the impact of religion on life and society in general. In the IB Diploma religion is studied through the philosophical and ethical discussion prevalent in Western history.
KGV is part of the English Schools Foundation, a group of 11 primary schools and 5 secondary schools which provide an International education for the international community of Hong Kong. Please visit the ESF web site at www.shambles.net
