Synagogue Assessment Task

You will need to research about different types of synagogues and some pictures of them both inside and outside.

Create a pamphlet which is a “Guide to the Synagogue” using the following criteria

  1. Describe what a synagogue could look like from outside
  2. Show plans of the different synagogue layouts and explain what is inside them and the historical background behind the different layouts
  3. Include pictures of the different elements
  4. Describe what happens inside the synagogue during the Saturday Sabbath service.
  5. Explain 5 rules for Jews whilst in the synagogue

The pamphlet should be no more than one piece of A4 paper – you can use both sides. You must use colour and decorate it in an appropriate way. You may complete the task on the computer and you may use pictures from the internet or scanned into your files from text books
