Design a poster setting out the Noble Eightfold Path, illustrated with pictures from clip art, to show that you understand what each part of the path means.

Ø     Before starting this task you should have read about the Noble Eightfold Path. Think about each stage of the path – what does each stage mean? How could you illustrate each stage? What sort of drawing could represent each stage? It would be a good idea to have some ideas before you start this task on a computer. Think, in advance, of words you could insert into a search engine, in order to find an appropriate picture for each stage.

Ø     Go into Eightfold Path Grid. You will discover a template of a wheel, on which you are to design your poster.

Ø     First, you must save the template in your documents. Open a Word document, then go back to the web page. Go to Edit and select all. Then click on Copy. Go back to your Word document and click Paste. Then save the Word document in your RS folder of Your documents.

Begin your poster by drawing a text box. Go to Insert, then Text Box – draw a box in the first section of your wheel. To find an appropriate picture, go to Insert, Picture, Clip Art. You can find more pictures by clicking on Clips Online. Type in an appropriate word in the search engine. If you are unsure, your teacher will help you.

Ø     When you find a picture you like, click on the image using the right button of the mouse. Then, click on copy. You will then have to go back to your document and “paste” the image in the text box.

Ø     When you have found a picture to represent each stage of the eightfold path, you could type in text to label each picture. You could also give your poster a title.

GOOD LUCK!
