Vice Principals
KGV is seeking to appoint two outstanding school leaders to contribute to its further development. The Senior Leadership Team consists of the Principal, four Vice Principals and a Business Manager. All VPs have their own set of responsibilities and work together as a close knit team. Two promotions to principalships in 2011 and one for August 2012 show that the team is well supported and of a very high quality. This is a tremendous opportunity for an ambitious school leader.
The successful candidates are likely to:

Head of Chinese (TLR2) preferably to start in April 2012
Further to the departure of two of our most experienced Chinese teachers to posts in other Hong Kong schools we are seeking to appoint an ambitious and determined new Head of Chinese to continue the development of this important department through building and leading an effective team. Teacher of Art / Media
This vacancy arises out of the expansion of our BTEC Art / Media programme and the successful candidate will probably be able to contribute to this as part of their wider contribution to this curriculum area. Link to Art and ID
Teacher of Business and Economics

Teacher of Chinese
Chinese teaching is divided into three pathways (First Language, Second Language and Foreign Language) and taught up to IB Diploma Language A. The successful applicant will be required to make a full contribution to the growing team of Chinese teachers. Link to Chinese
Teacher of Economics (preferably with Geography)
This vacancy arises from the departure of Arnett Edwards (previously VP). This is a very strong curriculum area and you would be expected to offer another subject in the Middle School (preferably Geography or Liberal and Personal Studies). Link to Business Economics
Teacher of English
This vacancy arises from the departure of Geoff Wheeler (previously Head of Middle School). This is a large and strong curriculum area with very high standards and expectations. An ability to offer Liberal and Personal Studies in the Middle School would be an advantage. Link to English

Teacher of Philosophy and Religious Studies
Religious Studies is a compulsory part of the Middle School curriculum and Philosophy is a popular option as an IB Diploma subject. This is a well organised and powerful department. Link to Religious Studies
Teacher of Physical Education
This department has grown recently with the introduction of BTEC Sport. We are seeking to appoint a teacher who will make a full contribution to curriculum and co curriculum PE. Link to PE
Teacher of Science (Chemistry specialism)
We seek to appoint a teacher who is able to contribute to Science learning across the full age range and play a full part in this well established team of teachers. A specialism in Chemistry at IB Diploma is desirable. Link to Science
Teacher of Science (Physics specialism)
We seek to appoint a teacher who is able to contribute to Science learning across the full age range and play a full part in this well established team of teachers. A specialism in Physics at IB Diploma is desirable. Link to Science
Teacher of Spanish
Further to the loss of three teachers of Spanish from this successful and popular subject up to IB Diploma B, we are seeking to appoint replacements who will bring the same energy, teaching skill and linguistic flair. Link to European Languages

Teacher of French
You will mainly be teaching French up to IB Diploma Language B level but the successful candidate will also be able to make a contribution to either Spanish or German at least in the Middle School and preferably up to IB Diploma B. Link to European Languages
Higher Education Counsellor
KGV has expanded its provision of HE Guidance in recent years and we are seeking to appoint and skilled and experienced Careers Counsellor to take the department to the next level. Link to HE Guidance
