Exhibition: World Class Study In London - Education Fair In Hong Kong

Last Day of Term
The last day of term, Friday, 20th December, will be a half-day which will finish at 12.10pm. It will also be a dress-down day in support of the school charities, so please feel free to wear casual clothing and bring $20 to give to your tutor.
The timings are as follows:
08.15 - 09:30 - Extended Tutor Time. Clearing of rooms and noticeboards.
09:30 - 09:50 - Break
09:50-10:50 - Y13 Pantomime
Hall & Balcony: Y11, Y12
Hall only: Middle School Nightingale, Middle School Upsdell
Tutor bases: Middle School Crozier, Middle School Rowell
(Y13 students will be seated in the gym)
10:50-11:10 - Break
11:10-12:10 - Final Assembly of Term
Hall & Balcony: Y13
Hall only: Middle School (all)
Tutor bases: Y11, Y12
12.10 - Departure. Buses will leave from KGV as normal.
You must ensure that you go only to the venue specified above. The hall will open 10 minutes before the start of each event, and students should not congregate in the foyer before this.
Where it is indicated that students should be in their tutor bases for the Y13 Pantomime / Final Assembly, tutors will meet their tutees in their normal tutor room and ensure all students are present. Tutors should take their laptops with them in order to project the Livestream broadcast from the Hall.
Please note carefully the need to look after your belongings and lock valuables away safely. Bags and other large items should not be brought into the hall.
Remember that school finishes at 12.10pm so there will be no-one around to help you if you have anything that goes missing.

ESF's Got Musical Talent
The registration page for ESF's Got Musical Talent is ready! ESF secondary students who would like to join are required to register here:
Date: 11 January 2014, 4 to 6 pm
Venue: Grappa's Cellar, Shop LG9 & B4A, Jardine House, 1 Connaught Place, Central, Hong Kong
Again, this is not a competition, rather an opportunity to perform to an audience in a club style environment. There will be 5-10 minute slot for each student (depending on how many students would like to participate in this event).
- Solo singers, group musicians and simply instrument performance are welcome. Jazz is welcome, however it is not a requirement.
- Start at 4pm and finish at 6pm when the evening will continue with JCSRS fund raising event "The Hong Kong 'Jazz Family' Fest 2014". Professional equipment will be set up, so performers will only need to bring their own instruments.
Friends and families are welcome to join!

1. Ning Po No. 2 College + KGV Exchange Program
Dates: Fridays from Jan to May 2014
Time: 4pm to 5pm
Age requirement: Year 9s and above
Activities: Students from KGV and Ning Po College will take turns and plan activities that they find interesting for each other, such as games, arts and crafts, sports, cooking, drama, debate and etc. Through this experience participants will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, learn more about the local school culture and build friendship with students from different backgrounds.
School Location: 9 Shun On Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon
Transportation: we will take taxis from KGV to Ning Po School, fares will be sponsored.

2. TsZ Oi Kindergarten English Teaching
Dates: Saturday mornings from Feb to May 2014 (10 sessions)Time: 10am to 11am
Age requirement: Year 9s or above
Responsibilities: Volunteers will teach English to a group of K2 and K3 children through fun games, role play and songs. They will be responsible for planning and leading the activities.

3. Primary 6 English Interview Workshop
Date: 11th Jan, 14 (Sat)
Time: AM session ( about 2.5 hours)
Age Requirement: Year 9 or above
Location: Pok Oi Hospital Mrs Cheng Yam On School, 3 Tuen Lee Street, Tuen Mun, Hong Kong (transportation will be provided by KGV)
Duties: a) Conduct speaking practices with primary 6 students who are going to attend interviews of secondary schools b) Give feedback about how they can improve especially in terms of English speaking and language skills.
