Interschools Equestrian Competition – Lo Wu Saddle Club

On Friday 13^th January 2017 10 riders from KGV competed in an interschools equestrian competition at Lo Wu Saddle Club. The riders were Yu An Su, Annabel Dyson, Rachel Mason, Zoe Koerber, Gemma Duncan, Alice Knoef, Veerliene Uiterwaal, Julie Bardin, Katarina Murfitt and Mia Koerber. It definitely was not Black Friday for the KGV riders who competed in 4 competitions in 2 divisions. Overall the 10 KGV riders won an amazing 15 ribbons. In the lower division jumping Julie came 1^st , Gemma 2^nd, Veerliene 3^rd, Katarina 5^th and Alice 6^th. In the lower division dressage Katarina came 1^st, Gemma 2^nd and Mia 4^th. The higher division saw You An win the dressage with Annabel 2^nd, Zoe 3^rd and Rachel 4^th. Finally Annabel won the higher dressage with Zoe 2^nd and Yu An 4^th.

This was an amazing day for the KGV Equestrian squad – never before have all riders won a ribbon. All riders were excellent ambassadors for KGV and are looking forward to competing in the HKEF Interschools Competitions over the next few months.
