Head of Senior School’s Message

Dear Parents,

We are now two thirds of the way through our IB Diploma examinations and I think the students are now beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Next week, we really get into the iGGSE exams so this will be a busy week in the examinations schedule.

Core Week seems to have gone well for the Y12 IB Diploma students. On Thursday they completed their Group IV Project for the Sciences. This is a formal requirement of the Diploma and is based around collaboration. The theme for this year is waste management. Students have also made good progress with their Extended Essay and are now working towards completion of their first, complete draft essay. I am also hearing good reports from employers about the BTEC students’ work placements.

Today I have sent the information regarding the Y12 subject-based parents evening on May 29th. Appointments can be made on Lionel from Monday May 14th at 8pm and will close at 11.59pm on May 25th. Click HERE for the information letter.

Tutors are now discussing the new uniform policy with their tutor groups. Please click HERE for details. The new policy is takes effect from August 2018.
