French Speech Festival

The French Speech Festival was held on 11th November at KGV. It is a competition where students from all across Hong Kong remember a poem and recite it in front of the judges. It builds up confidence in speaking in front of large audiences.

“I think it is a great opportunity for students learning french to improve their reciting skills and their pronunciation. I have been doing the french speech festival 2 years running and my overall feedback is that it is fun but the actual event is disorganized.”– Nello Merazzi (8R01M)

“The French Speech Festival helps students to learn more new words in the poems and improve pronunciation skills. It really helps you to have confidence in front of audiences and you become better at speaking. I think that I did better this year than last year because I knew what it was like and I had already experienced it. My public speaking skills were way better and overall it was a really good opportunity for me.” – Kristen Kwan (8C05M)
