In order to promote the values of the IB Learner Profile KGV holds a Challenge Week every October. This is a week when the whole school is off timetable taking part in activities all over Hong Kong, Asia and the world. Many of these projects are ongoing activities such as planting a forest, working with Crossroads, an orphanage in Cambodia, a school in the Philippines and work with the Spring Blossom charity in China. Students are expected to take part in an activity which is outside of their comfort zone and to set themselves a challenge. Senior students reflect on these challenges as part of their IB CAS requirements.
