EVERTHON

In order to promote and celebrate a collective sense of Wellbeing at KGV.  We have two upcoming events taking place simultaneously on March 18th in order to raise funds for a local Nepalese Charity whilst highlighting our brand of ‘Being your own Remarkable’ not just in students but also members of Staff and KGV Alumni.

Students will, in house colours attempt to climb the equivalent of Mount Everest through a designated circuit choosen by Mr Riding. Our objective is to support our very own Alumni Benjamin Chan who is currently attempting the Explorers Grande Slam, a combination of the 7 Peaks (one of which is Everest) and a trip to the two poles. If he completes it within a 12 month time gap it will be a World Record.

Students and staff will also have a chance to complete the Treadmill Marathon Challenge. 4 treadmills will be situated outside the GLT where students and staff will try to complete the 42km distance before school closes. This objective is to help raise money for Buddhist Child Home Charity and to support Mr Spashett’s attempt at running the Mount Everest Marathon on May 29th.
