Today we were challenging the middle school – Y7, 8, 9 & 10 to a House Everest Climb – over 8848m vertical. Middle school attempted to ascend the equivalent height of Mount Everest through a carefully constructed route in their House colours whilst senior school students and staff attempted (in teams) to run a Marathon on a treadmill outside the GLT in support of both the ‘Buddhist Child Home’ charity, Mr Spashett (running the full distance on a treadmill) who shall be running the Everest Marathon in May and KGV Alumni Benjamin Chan’s attempt at climbing Mount Everest in April.
