Equestrian Report – HKEF Interschool Equestrian Heats Feb 2017
On Friday 24th February 2017 two Equestrian teams represented KGV in the lower division heats of the HKEF Interschools Equestrian Competition at Lo Wu Saddle Club. The team of Katarina Murfitt, Julie Bardin and Mia Koerber came first on the day with Gemma Duncan, Alice Knoeff and Veerliene Uiterwaal coming third. We hope at least one if not both of these teams will qualify for the final in April.
Individually KGV riders won 10 ribbons, out of the 12 ribbons on offer. Mia Koerber was the star of the day winning the dressage part of the competition and coming second in the show jumping. Also in the dressage Julie came 2nd, Alice 3rd, Gemma 4th and Katarina 6th. In the show jumping Katarina and Gemma came equal 5th and Veerliene came 6th. Again a very successful day for the KGV riders.
