CHALLENGE IN BURMA

(In the style of Spring Blossom)

 

 

BRIEF ITINERARY: Our Burma trip is a NINE day trip:

Day 1 - DEP HONG KONG - Flight to Rangoon via Singapore.
Stopover at
Summit Park View Hotel.

Day 2 - Travel to Pagan. Check-in at Myanmar Treasure Resort, Pagan.
Tour of Pagan Temple complex
Overnight Pagan

Day 3 - Morning, SB work.
Afternoon, construction activities.
Carriage rides around local area.
Overnight Pagan

Day 4 - Morning, SB work
Afternoon, construction activities
Boat cruise down the Irrawaddy River
Overnight Pagan

Day 5 - Morning, SB work
Afternoon, construction activities.
Overnight Pagan

Day 6 - Morning, SB work
Afternoon, construction activities.
Mountain bike rides around local area.
Overnight Pagan

Day 7 - Morning, return flight to Rangon
Check-in at
Traders Hotel
Afternoon, visit Minority Tribe area to look at local tribal life.
Overnight Rangoon

Day 8 - Exploring area around Rangoon
Visit to dance school
Overnight Rangoon

Day 9 - After breakfast, transfer to Mingaladon Airport.
Return fight to Hong Kong via Singapore.

This  trip is a 'full-on' service-based venture. Interested persons should be aware that there are high expectations of commitment and responsibility involved with these trips. Preparation of the activities programmes are demanding of both time and effort. Once you are there you will see why all the effort is necessary!

The trip will cover the full range of CAS requirements eg.

Creative - Devising teaching programmes promoting English usage through Arts and Crafts, Games, and class teaching sessions, plus, a Health and Hygiene programme. Fund-raising ventures. Devising a SB Song and choreo-graphing a SB Dance.

Action - Implementing the above programmes at the SB school. Undertaking outreach work. Construction activities.

Service - Working to improve the lives of rural poor children.
