Ocean Racer Sailing Course

BRIEF ITINERARY

The Blue Water sailing activity will run from for the 5 days of Challenge Week, from 10.00am to 4.00pm everyday. Day 1, 2, 3 and 5 will start and end at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club in Causeway Bay. Day 4 will start at either Middle Island, Repulse Bay or Shelter Cove, Sai Kung, depending on weather conditions.

This activity is suitable for total beginners. By the end of the week you should be able to help crew on a yacht under the charge of an experienced skipper. You will learn how to steer the yacht under sail and engine, how to hoist and trim the sails plus many other useful and necessary skills which will make you a valued crew member.

A maximum of 16 students can take the course, split across two boats, Vanguard and Agagorn. The course is organized by Yachting Ventures a well established Hong Kong company.

Students will be expected to make their own way to start point of each day’s activity.
