CHINA Yunnan

BRIEF ITINERARY

- Work at a local primary school in Yunlong County云龙县, Yunnan for 3 days

- Cultural exchange with families from the Bai ethnic group (白族)

- Half-day trek to a beautiful Bai village

Oct. 9                 Dragonair flight KA760 HKG-KMG (1200/1425)
                           Transfer to Dali by bus. Overnight stay in the old city of Dali.

Oct. 10               A 4 hour drive from Dali to Yunlong in the morning and sightseeing in local areas.

Oct. 11 - 13       Work (wall painting/ English teaching/ Arts and Crafts activities) at a primary
                            school in a rural area for 3 days.

Oct. 14              Half day trek to a thousand-year-old Bai village called Nuodeng in the morning
                          and travel back to Kunming in the afternoon.

Oct. 15             Sightseeing in Kuming, including a visit to the Western Hill and the Taoist Temples in
                         the Dragon Gate area. Dragonair flight KA761 KMG-HKG (1520/1745)

Creativity - Students will have the opportunity to create English teaching, arts and craft, and cultural exchange programs for the children at the primary school.

Action - Students will engage in physical activities such as wall painting and trekking.

Service - Students will be responsible for leading fundraising activities to raise money for the primary school prior to the trip.
