Challenge Week 2009

 Green Extreme – Hong Kong

The Green Extreme program goes to some of the most beautiful, untouched and inaccessible parts of Hong Kong.  The camp is a balance of exciting day trips and an overnight excursion.
This is run by the local Hong Kong company, Dragonfly (dragonfly.com.hk), focusing on the greener areas of our city. Each destination offers different activities, including sea kayaking, mountain biking, canyoning, backpacking, teambuilding games, a specially designed Great Race for teams, Environmental Awareness Project and 1 night camping on a pristine white-sand beach.

“We hiked to a beach and had a bonfire at night, and saw a sky full of bright, glittering stars, so many we couldn’t even count them. It was a breath-taking experience, especially for us Hong Kong people, as we don't see that many stars, even in Sai Kung, away from the city. I found that I actually enjoyed hiking a lot, and wasn't very tired by the ones we did at all. It was actually quite fun and I would like to go hiking again sometime soon. Overall I definitely enjoyed green extreme and would readily recommend it to anyone who is considering the trip for next year. It was an amazing experience, and I had a lot of fun hiking!”  Emily  Liew

“I ended up waking up at 5 in the morning and sat on the beach to watch the star filled sky with shooting stars transform into a beautiful sunrise over the hills and horizon, which truly was the highlight of my week.”- Angel Cheung
