Colours Afternoon
The Colours Afternoon was established in 2000 as a means of recognising excellence in the co curricular programme. A committee was formed who would monitor the process and the criteria for winning awards were clearly advertised: Excellence, Sportsmanship, Reliability, Citizenship and Commitment
There have been many changes to the event as the school has grown and approximately 170 of our students will receive a colour each year. There are also 4 prestigious awards with 3 nominees recognised for each: Musician of the Year, Performer of the Year, Sports Girl of the Year and Sports Boy of the Year.
To further improve the process this year we will be requesting students interested in winning the above 4 awards to submit to the committee their achievements for the year. This will hopefully allow the committee to discuss clearly each nominee and award the most deserving students.
The Co Curricular Programme would not be possible without the goodwill, dedication and enthusiasm of the teachers involved. Colours is also a good opportunity to acknowledge all the hard work and commitment of those inspiring teachers.
